An outside hitter is a player in volleyball who plays near the left side of the court and is responsible for both attacking and defending. This players main role is to attack the ball, aiming to score points by hitting it over the net and into the opponents court. Outside hitters are also involved in blocking the opponents attacks and passing the ball during serve receive. They are often quick, strong, and versatile, contributing to both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game.
